ID Austria on sproof's eID Hub: A‑Trust and sproof Strengthen their Partnership

Hands bringing the jigsaw pieces together in the middle

With the integration of ID Austria into sproof's eID Hub, A-Trust and the Salzburg-based RegTech company are strengthening their collaboration.

As a legally compliant alternative to U.S. providers, the fully European value chain facilitates compliance with EU regulations, particularly in compliance-oriented sectors such as banking, legal services, energy, and public administration.

The partnership opens new opportunities for both sides to further advance the use of qualified electronic signatures. Moving forward, sproof can tap into the potential of the current 5 million ID Austria users to strengthen its position in the DACH market and beyond. In return, A-Trust gains access to a platform used across Europe that creates optimal conditions for cross-border economic activities.

Markus Vesely, CEO of A-Trust: “sproof's eID Hub combines the power of a signature platform with common national eIDs. Thanks to their deep technical integration, there are no media breaks, and identity verification takes place fast directly within the platform. Now, ID Austria can be also used as the basis for legally compliant cross-border digital business processes within this solution easily and securely.”

Clemens Brunner, CEO and Co-Founder of sproof: “Through our official integration partnership with A-Trust, we're reducing complexity for end customers. The goal is to make government-verified identities so easy to use that digital signatures become the norm. Together, we're proving that technological excellence and European values aren't a contradiction, but a competitive advantage.
