Compliance with legal requirements
Secure digital company seals help to fulfill regulatory requirements, such as the legal requirements for e-invoices: In Austria, Germany and Switzerland, it must be possible to guarantee the authenticity of the origin and the integrity of the content of an e-invoice; see §11 UstG (AT) or §14 UstG (DE) or GeBüV (CH).

Requirements for issuing a qualified seal certificate
Two requirements must be met for the authentication of the respective legal entity and the issuance of your qualified company seal certificate.
EU registered office
A registered office within the European Union is required for the issue of the qualified company seal certificate. We therefore check your data using an excerpt from the Austrian commercial register or from the European Business Register (EBR). Non-registered organizations must provide copies of alternative documents to verify existence.
Unique identification
The clear identification of the authorized person takes place via the qualified signature of a document (e.g. ID Austria or xIDENTITY). If you have submitted all the required documentation, you should receive your certificate within 1-2 working day.
Requirements for using a qualified seal certificate
In order to be able to digitally seal documents, it is required to technically integrate the seal in your syste. This can be done in different ways.
Either: Your company works with a partner company that can carry out the integration professionally for you.
Or: Your company can familiarize itself in detail with the PDF standard (or has already done so) and carry out the integration independently. (Please note: this process takes a considerable amount of time).
Or: Your company or your partner company uses A-Trust Hash2Sign, a user-friendly REST interface that can be easily and simply integrated into the existing system.
