EUDI-Wallet

The European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) is set to redefine how digital identities are managed and used across Europe. By the end of 2026, every EU Member State will provide a fully interoperable Wallet that enables secure digital authentication, electronic identification, and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES). For businesses, this marks a pivotal moment: now is the time to explore new opportunities, integrations, and digital business models. A-Trust solutions are already EUDI Wallet ready, enabling organizations to prepare early and with confidence. With long-standing expertise and certified trust services, A-Trust is your reliable partner for this transformation.
What Is the EUDI Wallet?
The EUDI Wallet is a trusted, EU-wide digital identity solution that allows citizens and organizations to securely store, manage, and share identity data. As the central element of Europe's new digital identity framework, it provides seamless access to public-sector and private-sector online services.
Users can keep digital IDs, driving licences, certificates, and verified personal attributes directly in their wallet. These verified attribute attestations — such as professional qualifications, tax numbers, or company registry data — come from trusted issuers, ensuring authenticity and data integrity.
The wallet also enables legally binding digital signatures for individuals and verifiable digital seals for companies. The highest level of trust is delivered through the Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and the qualified electronic seal, issued exclusively by accredited trust service providers like A-Trust. A-Trust identity & signature solutions are fully Wallet-ready and designed for seamless integration into the EUDI Wallet ecosystem.
This makes the EUDI Wallet a secure and compliant platform for all signature-related transactions.
A-Trust in the EU Pilot Project POTENTIAL
With the successful completion of the EU pilot project POTENTIAL, A-Trust has made a significant contribution to the Europe-wide rollout of the EUDI Wallet. As one of six large-scale pilots, POTENTIAL demonstrated how essential services — particularly QES — can be used within the wallet in a simple, secure, and interoperable manner.
By the end of 2026, all EU Member States will be required to offer a wallet that includes a free qualified electronic signature for non-commercial use, ensuring a harmonized, secure, and user-friendly gateway to digital services across Europe.
A-Trust provides the technical expertise, infrastructure, and certified trust services needed to support companies and institutions in adopting the EUDI Wallet.
A-Trust Sandboxing: Test Environment for Developers and Partners
Organizations and developers can already access the EUDI Wallet sandbox environment created during the project. This testing environment enables simple, real-world integration of wallet-based digital signatures — ideal for proof-of-concepts, prototyping, and early product development.
The A-Trust sales team supports onboarding and helps identify individual integration scenarios.
